Dan Salter
Dan Salter serves as the Teaching Pastor at The Measuring Line, where he draws on years of leading Bible studies to help others discover the depth and beauty of God’s Word. For nearly two decades, he has also served as the Director of TruthWhys Ministries, guiding Christians to explore their faith with clarity and purpose. His academic journey includes graduate studies at Bob Jones Seminary, Southern Evangelical Seminary, and Trinity College of the Bible.
Dan’s faith journey began early—he can’t remember a time when he didn’t believe in Christ. Growing up in a Christian home, he was deeply influenced by his parents, who modeled the essence of a God-centered life. His mother’s Christ-like love and selflessness taught him to live for the good of others, while his father’s passion for understanding why we believe inspired Dan to build his convictions on thoughtful study rather than blind compliance. These early lessons ignited a lifelong pursuit of truth and a deep desire to share it.
In college, Dan met Becky, the love of his life, whose encouragement helped transform him from a solitary student of the Bible into a teacher of God’s truths. Her steadfast faith and support have been central to Dan’s calling, motivating him to share the insights God has revealed to him. Together, they raised two children: Chris, who is pursuing a master’s in clinical counseling after teaching in Hawaii, and Angela, who supports early learning leadership through her work with My Joy Speaks.
Recently retired from a long career in the energy industry, Dan has embraced his true passion—studying and teaching the truths of Scripture and Christian philosophy. His development of Kinship Theology reflects his deep conviction that God’s purpose for humanity centers on love, relationship, and restoration. To Dan, Kinship Theology is more than an academic pursuit; it is the lens through which he sees God’s plan for creation—a plan defined by truth, goodness, and beauty. At The Measuring Line, Dan finds great joy in helping others explore these themes, inviting them to join him in discovering the profound richness of God’s design. Ultimately, everything he teaches is for Christ: “For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever. Amen.” (Romans 11:36)
